Theatre Art
Often when I am working on a show I paint, and sometimes I get to do it in the show.
These are three watercolors I
painted while working on "Abe Lincoln In Illinois" for Indiana Rep Theatre.
My great aunt Elisabeth Risdon played in the original and movie (1939) with Raymond
Massey.

While working on "Painting
Churches" for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, I had several scenes where I would
draw out ideas for a painting that the character was to paint by the play's end of her two
parents.

While at the Denver Center Theatre I
painting beach scenes each evening on stage, finishing a painting every 4th performance.
The play "Lips Together, Teeth Apart" concerned the suicide death of my
character's brother who had been diagnosed with AIDS.
